Clare Herbert

Research Fellow

“Seeing how we translate theology into practice is of vital importance in training ministers. It is not enough to know – we need to know how to live it out in ministry and mission.”

Clare served as the Tutor for Practical Theology and Pastoral Care from 2013 until 2019.

Clare has a Masters Degree in Pastoral Theology from Edinburgh University and has recently completed a doctorate in the hermeneutics of Practical Theology with Anglia Ruskin University and the Cambridge Theology Federation.

A former childcare social worker, Clare was pastoral care advisor in the Diocese of London before becoming the Rector of St Anne’s Soho.

In her spare time Clare swims and sails a dinghy in Chichester Harbour.
